Job Description
Responsible for assisting with the preparation of cost estimates for marine projects, including vessel construction, maintenance, and repairs. The role involves gathering project data, analyzing specifications, and calculating the costs of materials, labor, equipment, and resources needed. Estimators work closely with the Senior Estimator to ensure that estimates are accurate, aligned with project requirements, and meet industry standards. They also support the team in identifying potential risks or discrepancies in the estimation process and help update estimates as the project evolves, ensuring that the final estimates are submitted for approval.

Collaborating with other departments, including engineering, procurement, and production teams, to gather necessary project specifications and cost-related information.
Analyzing project drawings, specifications, and contracts to assess the required resources and ensure the estimates align with the project's scope and budget.
Assisting in updating estimates as project details evolve, ensuring that any changes in scope, design, or materials are accurately reflected in the revised cost projections.
Maintaining accurate records of all estimates, assumptions, and calculations to ensure transparency and traceability for future reference or audits.
Identifying potential cost risks, scope changes, or project challenges, and reporting these issues to the Senior Estimator or Manager Estimator for further action.
Incorporating safety requirements into project cost assessments, ensuring that all necessary safety equipment, training, and risk mitigation measures are considered in the estimation process.
