Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities


  • Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure optimal working conditions and report any maintenance needs promptly.
  • Manage route planning and navigation using GPS systems to enhance efficiency and reduce delivery times.
  • Maintain accurate logs of mileage, fuel consumption, and delivery schedules to provide comprehensive reports to management.
  • Engage with customers professionally, addressing inquiries and providing excellent services.
  • Adhere to all health and safety standards, ensuring a safe environment for yourself and others on the road.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the vehicle interior and exterior to promote a professional image.
  • Stay updated on local traffic laws and road conditions to anticipate and avoid potential delays.
  • Participate in training sessions and workshops to enhance driving skills and learn about new technologies.

Desired Candidate Profile

  • High school diploma or equivalent; further education in logistics or transportation is a plus.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in a driving role with a clean driving record.
  • Valid driver's license with the appropriate class for light vehicles, and any necessary endorsements.
  • Knowledge of vehicle maintenance and basic repair skills to handle minor issues on the road.
  • Proficient in using GPS and navigation systems to ensure efficient route planning.
  • Strong communication skills to effectively interact with customers and team members.
  • Ability to work independently and manage time efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Physical stamina to lift heavy packages and perform manual tasks as required.
  • Cultural awareness and adaptability, particularly when interacting with diverse customer bases.
  • Fluency in English; additional language skills are advantageous for customer interaction.
