Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
Job Purpose The Executive – Garment Sourcing & Outsourcing will be responsible for identifying, evaluating, and managing garment manufacturing factories for outsourcing production. The role includes sourcing fabrics, trims, and related raw materials, negotiating commercial terms, and ensuring smooth execution of garment production from sampling to bulk delivery while maintaining quality, timelines, and cost efficiency.
Factory Sourcing & Development
Identify and evaluate garment factories suitable for outsourcing production (local and international).
Conduct due diligence on factory capabilities, production capacity, compliance standards, and quality systems.
Develop and maintain a strong supplier database of garment manufacturers.
Negotiate pricing, production timelines, MOQs, and contractual terms with factories.
Establish long-term strategic partnerships with reliable manufacturing units.
Garment Outsourcing Management
Manage complete outsourcing cycle: product development, sampling, costing, order placement, production follow-up, and delivery.
Coordinate with factories to ensure adherence to buyer specifications and quality standards.
Monitor production schedules and ensure on-time delivery.
Ensure compliance with agreed quality, ethical, and safety standards.
Fabric & Trims Sourcing
Source fabrics, trims, accessories, and packaging materials from approved suppliers.
Evaluate supplier quality, pricing, and lead times.
Conduct cost comparisons and negotiate favorable commercial terms.
Coordinate fabric approvals, lab dips, and trim approvals.
Ensure timely material availability to support production schedules.
Quality & Compliance
Coordinate quality inspections during sampling and bulk production.
Ensure adherence to buyer specifications and international standards.
Work closely with QA teams and third-party inspection agencies if required.
Coordination & Reporting
Liaise with design, sales, logistics, and finance teams for smooth execution.
Provide regular production and sourcing updates to line manager and management.
Maintain proper documentation of contracts, purchase orders, and supplier agreements.
Desired Candidate Profile
Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor’s Degree in Textile Engineering, Fashion Technology, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field.
Minimum 8 years of proven experience in garment sourcing and outsourcing management.
Strong network of garment factories (preferably across Asia / key garment-producing countries).
Hands-on experience in fabric and trims sourcing.
Strong understanding of garment costing, production planning, and quality control.
Required Skills
Strong negotiation and commercial skills.
Excellent knowledge of garment manufacturing processes.
Ability to manage multiple vendors and production timelines.
Strong analytical and costing skills.
Excellent communication and coordination abilities.
Proficient in MS Excel and sourcing documentation.
Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
