Roles & Responsibilities
- Consult with clients to understand their desired hairstyles, color preferences, and hair care needs, providing expert advice and recommendations.
- Perform a wide range of hair styling services, including cutting, trimming, blow-drying, and styling hair for various occasions with precision and creativity.
- Expertly apply hair coloring techniques, such as highlights, lowlights, balayage, and full-color applications, ensuring consistent and vibrant results while prioritizing hair health.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary workstation, adhering to all hygiene and safety protocols to ensure a safe and comfortable environment for clients.
- Stay updated on the latest hair trends, techniques, and products through continuous learning and professional development to offer cutting-edge services.
- Provide exceptional customer service, building rapport with clients, addressing their concerns, and ensuring their satisfaction with the services provided.
- Recommend and sell hair care products, providing personalized advice and guidance to clients on maintaining their hair's health and style.
- Manage appointments, handle client inquiries, and process payments efficiently using salon software or point-of-sale systems.
- Collaborate with other salon staff to create a positive and supportive team environment, contributing to the overall success of the salon.
- Assist in maintaining inventory levels of hair products and supplies, ensuring adequate stock for daily operations and minimizing wastage.
Desired Candidate Profile
- Possesses a Diploma or Certificate in Cosmetology, demonstrating a foundational understanding of hair styling and coloring techniques.
- Holds a valid cosmetology license or certification from a recognized institution, ensuring compliance with industry standards.
- Demonstrates a minimum of 2 years of professional experience in a salon setting, showcasing practical skills and a client-focused approach.
- Exhibits a strong understanding of hair coloring chemistry and techniques, including color correction and advanced color applications.
- Proficient in a variety of hair styling techniques, including cutting, styling, and up-dos, with a keen eye for detail and precision.
- Displays excellent communication and interpersonal skills, fostering positive client relationships and providing personalized consultations.
- Demonstrates a commitment to continuous learning and professional development, staying abreast of current hair trends and techniques.
- Exhibits a strong work ethic, punctuality, and reliability, contributing to a smooth and efficient salon operation.
- Proficient in English, both written and spoken, enabling effective communication with clients and colleagues.
- Possesses a passion for the beauty industry, a creative flair, and a dedication to delivering exceptional hair services.
