Roles & Responsibilities

Role Overview:

As a Field Brand Ambassador, you are both the face and the engine of Thrifty's on-ground presence at our community mall kiosk. Your role carries a dual purpose — to authentically represent and elevate the Thrifty brand in the community, and to proactively drive customer acquisition through direct engagement, pitching, and lead generation. You will be the first point of contact between Thrifty and potential customers, creating meaningful interactions that build brand affinity while converting interest into action. This is a high-energy, people-first, field-based role suited for someone who combines the warmth of a brand storyteller with the drive of a results-oriented sales professional.


Key Responsibilities:

Brand representation & community presence

  • Embody Thrifty's values and personality in every customer interaction

  • Build a consistent and positive brand impression at the kiosk and its surrounding areas

  • Maintain a groomed, presentable appearance in line with brand guidelines at all times


Proactive customer outreach

  • Approach and engage mall visitors in a warm, confident, and non-intrusive manner

  • Initiate conversations naturally to identify interest and encourage visitors to learn more

  • Distribute flyers and promotional materials to drive awareness and foot traffic to the kiosk


Product pitching & presentation

  • Deliver clear and compelling pitches tailored to each prospect's needs and interest level

  • Adapt messaging from a quick hook to a full product walkthrough as needed

  • Use kiosk displays and demo materials to make conversations more engaging


Lead generation & data capture

  • Qualify potential customers through conversation and assess their level of interest

  • Accurately capture contact details and relevant information for follow-up

  • Ensure smooth lead handover to the sales or onboarding team


Sales target achievement

  • Meet daily, weekly, and monthly customer acquisition targets

  • Take ownership of personal performance and proactively adjust approach to maximize conversions

  • Flag challenges or blockers to the team lead in a timely manner


Kiosk management & upkeep

  • Keep the kiosk neat, well-stocked, and visually inviting throughout the day

  • Ensure displays, demo tools, and promotional materials are properly arranged and on-brand

  • Adhere to mall regulations and kiosk operating hours at all times


Reporting & feedback

  • Submit daily activity reports covering leads captured, conversions, and footfall observations

  • Share on-ground customer feedback and common objections with the team regularly

  • Contribute insights that help refine pitching strategies and promotional materials

Desired Candidate Profile

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or a related field.

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in outdoor or field sales, direct consumer engagement, kiosk-based promotions, or roadshow environments.

  • Demonstrated ability to work independently in outdoor or high-footfall environments, initiate cold approaches, and maintain energy and professionalism throughout extended field hours.

  • Proven ability to confidently pitch products, handle objections effectively, and conclude interactions positively — whether through sign-ups, lead generation, or follow-up commitments.

  • Strong verbal communication skills in English and Arabic. Additional language skills will be considered an advantage.

  • Willingness to work weekends and public holidays in line with mall operating hours.

  • Physically fit and comfortable standing and engaging with customers for extended periods throughout the workday.

  • Valid UAE driver’s license is an advantage.
