Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
NEOM is a territory of 26,500 square kilometers undergoing the world's most innovative and visionary transformation in urban planning and environmental engagement. The project execution will involve hundreds of millions of cubic meters of earthworks, implementation of masterplans including OXAGON, Magna, Trojena and The Line/Spine, and a significant number of land use permits which enable the construction activity, whether temporary or permanent.
To ensure that NEOM's vision is delivered, NEOM Department of Planning and Municipal Affairs (DPMA) requires services that will support the use of land in NEOM and ensure that compliance is respected for all land uses in NEOM
Role: Field Compliance Inspectors
Department: Department of Planning and Municipal Affairs Mandate - Compliance and Enforcement
Job Locations: OXAGON, Magna, Trojena and The Line/Spine
The fundamental role of DPMA C&E is to inspect, monitor, and investigate compliance with all LUPs, permit conditions, and DMPs within NEOM's boundaries.
Experience & Qualifications
- Relevant experience in the field compliance and enforcement, survey compliance, Use of enforcement technology.
- Diploma / bachelor’s degree in Land Surveying, Engineering (Civil, Structural), Geography, Urban Planning, Surveying, Environmental Science, or related field
- Relevant project experience in compliance and enforcement within urban planning, municipal affairs, or equivalent regulatory environments
Background, Skills, Roles & Responsibilities:
- To inspect, monitor, investigate the built environment, construction activities, monitoring development, identifying potential violations using GIS (Geographic Information Systems) field survey application to establish the extent of non-compliance across NEOM.
- Experience in spatial analysis techniques to detect land use, construction activities and encroachments that occur beyond the approved Land Use Permit and Plot boundaries of Master Plans.
- Conducting regular field operation inspections of construction sites and monitor work progress with the use and aid of Trimble GPS, GIS (Geographic Information Systems) application and camera.
- An eye for detail and a logical approach to field inspections.
- To determine the possible remedial steps that will have to be put in place to revert to a compliant land use.
- Ensure all Land Use Permits and Master Plan Plots are implemented in terms of the land use approval.
- Ensure all compliance policies and procedures are adhered too.
- Inspection report writing.
