Roles & Responsibilities

Our client , a leading company in Jordan (Retail ) is looking for Finance Director to be based in Amman Jordan and reports to CEO

Position Summary:

Overseeing all financial aspects of the company, providing strategic leadership to support the expansion and daily operations of the retail network. This role reports to the CEO and ensures compliance with Jordanian regulatory standards and international retail accounting principles.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Planning & Forecasting: Develop and execute financial strategies, long-term business plans, and annual budgets that align with the company s market expansion goals.
  • Financial Control & Reporting: Oversee timely monthly/annual financial statements, general ledger, and cash flow management.
  • Retail/Inventory Management : Manage retail-specific financial metrics, including inventory turnover, valuation, and Cost of Goods Sold (COGS).
  • Compliance & Tax : Ensure strict adherence to Jordanian tax laws, customs regulations, and international accounting standards (IFRS/GAAP).
  • Team Leadership : Lead and mentor the finance, accounting, and internal audit teams.
  • Stakeholder Management : Coordinate with external auditors, the Board of Directors, and regulatory bodies.

Desired Candidate Profile

Required Qualifications & Skills:

  • Experience: 10 15+ years of progressive financial leadership, specifically within Retail, Food & Beverage, or FMCG sectors.
  • Education: Bachelor s degree in Finance or Accounting. CPA, CMA, or MBA is highly preferred.
  • Languages: Full professional fluency in Arabic and English.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and advanced Excel.
  • Commercial Acumen: Strong experience in supply chain costing and retail operational efficiency.

Key Competencies:

  • Proven experience in high-volume, multi-site retail environment.
  • Strong leadership capabilities and the ability to work under pressure.
