u>Financial Strategy & Planning/u>

• Financial Planning & Analysis: Creating budgets, forecasts, and financial models to predict future performance and cash flow.

• Strategic Advisor: Working directly with the CEO and Executive Leadership Team to evaluate opportunities (e.g., new markets, major purchases, hiring plans) and assess their financial impact.

• Fundraising & Capital Structure: Managing banking relationships, securing loans or lines of credit, and potentially leading efforts to raise equity investment.

• Develop and execute financial strategy aligned with business goals.

• Model scenarios for growth, risk, and investment planning.

u>Financial Management & Control/u>

• Cash Flow Management: The top priority. Actively monitoring, forecasting, and managing cash inflows and outflows to ensure the business never runs out of money to operate.

• Managing Debtors & Creditors: Overseeing accounts receivable (ensuring customers pay on time) and accounts payable (managing relationships with suppliers and optimizing payment timing).

• Internal Controls: Establishing and enforcing processes to prevent errors, fraud, and misuse of funds (e.g., approval processes for expenses, segregation of duties).

• Negotiate with banks, vendors, and investors to secure favorable terms.

u>Financial Reporting & Analysis/u>

• Management Accounts: Producing timely and accurate monthly management accounts (Profit & Loss, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow Statement) for internal use, not just for year-end tax compliance.

• Key Performance Indicators (KPIs): Identifying, tracking, and reporting on the most important financial and operational metrics for the business (e.g., gross profit margin, customer acquisition cost, lifetime value).

• Performance Analysis: Interpreting the numbers, explaining the "why" behind variances from budget, and providing insights to help the leadership team make informed decisions.

• Compliance & Tax Reporting: Overseeing the preparation of year-end financial statements and working with external accountants to ensure all tax filings (corporate tax, VAT/WHT) are accurate and submitted on time.

u>Operational Leadership/u>

• Overseeing Technology: Managing the financial systems, software, and tools (Zoho Books) to ensure efficiency and data integrity.

• Manage accounting and finance teams.

• Manage and process regular payment schedules, payrolls.

• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Working closely with sales, operations, and HR to ensure financial considerations are integrated into all business decisions (e.g., pricing, contract terms, payroll, and benefits).

• Identify gaps in business processes and systems and prepare plans for continuous improvement.

u>Compliance & Risk Management/u>

• Ensure regulatory compliance with tax laws, accounting standards, and financial reporting.

• Oversee audits and internal controls to safeguard assets.

• Mitigate financial risks through insurance, hedging, or policy design.

• Identifying financial risks (e.g., customer concentration, currency fluctuation, interest rate changes) and implementing strategies to mitigate them.

u>Communication & Reporting/u>

• Prepare financial reports for internal and external stakeholders.

• Translate complex financial data into actionable insights for non-financial leaders.

• Signal financial health to partners, regulators, and potential investors.
