Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
Financial Planning and Performance Management The role is responsible for financial planning and performance monitoring across the organization. This includes monthly review of budget versus actual performance, analysis of variances for Profit and Loss and Balance Sheet items, and implementation of corrective actions. The position manages weekly cash flow forecasts and ensures optimal utilization of bank facilities to maintain liquidity. The role also reviews monthly profit margins and recommends strategies to improve overall profitability. Financial Reporting and Internal Controls Ensure timely preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements. Maintain accuracy and integrity of Balance Sheet, Profit and Loss, and cash flow reports. Implement, monitor, and improve internal financial controls and ERP-based financial processes. Ensure financial records are reliable, accurate, and audit-ready at all times. Working Capital and Capital Management Monitor and optimize debtor, creditor, and inventory cycles. Evaluate return on investment for capital expenditure proposals and support decision-making on financial resource allocation. Assist management in maintaining targeted financial ratios and liquidity benchmarks. Cost Control and Profitability Improvement Identify cost-saving opportunities and operational efficiency improvements. Monitor operating expenses and cost-to-income ratios. Provide recommendations to enhance gross and net profit margins. Audit, Compliance, and Regulatory Management Lead internal and external audit processes. Ensure compliance with UAE Labour Law, VAT regulations, and applicable financial reporting standards. Prepare and submit VAT returns and statutory filings within deadlines. Oversee insurance coverage, payroll compliance, and statutory obligations. Banking, Risk, and Financial Governance Manage relationships with banks and financial institutions. Monitor financial risks and implement appropriate mitigation measures. Ensure adherence to credit control policies and insurance requirements. Support trade finance and export documentation, including letters of credit and banking documentation. Customer, Supplier, and Credit Control Management Oversee customer credit management and debtor collections. Ensure accuracy of customer financial records and credit documentation. Monitor supplier reconciliations and ensure timely settlement of liabilities. Strengthen financial relationships with customers and suppliers. Inventory and Cross-Functional Coordination Coordinate with supply chain and operations teams to ensure accurate inventory reconciliation. Align financial planning with sales forecasts and procurement plans. Support operational teams with financial analysis related to project and product profitability. Team Leadership and Development Lead and supervise the finance team, including task allocation and performance management. Conduct training, performance reviews, and competency development initiatives. Promote accountability, transparency, and collaboration within the finance function. Process Improvement and Digital Transformation Identify opportunities for automation and ERP system enhancement. Improve efficiency and accuracy of financial reporting processes. Implement best practices aligned with ISO standards and corporate governance requirements. Confidentiality and Corporate Representation Maintain strict confidentiality of financial and commercial information. Represent the company professionally with auditors, banks, and external stakeholders. Uphold company values, ethics, and governance standards in all financial matters. Key Performance Indicators Performance will be measured based on budget versus actual variance control, cash flow accuracy and liquidity management, profit margin improvement, working capital optimization, audit and regulatory compliance, cost efficiency improvements, timeliness and accuracy of financial reporting, team performance and process efficiency, insurance and credit risk governance, and support for strategic investment and business expansion.
Desired Candidate Profile
Qualifications & Competencies Bachelor’s Degree in Finance / Accounting (Professional certification preferred).
Strong knowledge of UAE financial regulations, VAT and compliance.
Experience in ERP financial systems and reporting tools.
Strong analytical, leadership and communication skills.
