Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
Manage all finance operations related to logistics and freight forwarding activities Oversee costing, pricing support, and job profitability analysis Review and approve invoices, accruals, and revenue recognition Ensure compliance with free zone regulations and UAE VAT requirements Coordinate with operations, sales, pricing, and management teams Monitor cash flow, accounts receivable, and accounts payable Prepare monthly financial reports, P&L statements, and management dashboards Ensure accurate allocation of costs and revenues per shipment and job number Support internal and external audits Improve financial processes, controls, and system efficiency
Desired Candidate Profile
Requirements: Proven experience in a Finance Manager or senior finance role within logistics or freight forwarding Hands-on experience with DAFZA or JAFZA operations is required Strong knowledge of air, sea, and land freight costing and financial workflows Solid understanding of VAT and free zone financial practices in the UAE Experience using Focus ERP system or similar ERP systems in logistics or finance environments Strong analytical, reporting, and problem-solving skills Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field Professional certifications (ACCA, CPA, CMA) are a plus Experience working with freight forwarding or logistics companies in the UAE
