Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

1. Upstream Project End-to-End Financial Management

Own full-cycle financial control for the oil & gas exploration, development, and production lifecycle, including accurate tracking, accounting, and control of CAPEX and OPEX under the PSC.

Manage crude sales revenue recognition, production volume reconciliation, cost recovery, and profit-sharing calculations in strict compliance with the PSC and sales agreements.

Drive granular cost optimization for well operations, block development, and unit production costs, partnering with operations teams to deliver cost efficiency targets.

2. Budgeting, Forecasting & Business Partnering

Lead the end-to-end annual budget and rolling forecast process for the JV, covering all upstream operations, capital investment, treasury, and tax activities.

Build and deliver regular financial performance analysis, tracking impacts of oil price, production volume, cost, and foreign exchange movements on profitability and cash flow, providing actionable insights to the management and partners.

Effective management to optimize inventory management processes, including demand planning, inventory control and stock replenishment.

Provide economic modelling, and risk assessment for major capital investments, commercial contracts, and procurement tenders, issuing clear financial recommendations for business decisions.

Oversee full cash flow management for the JV, including short and long-term cash flow planning, payment execution control, and ensuring sufficient liquidity for ongoing upstream operations.

3. Internal Controls, Risk & Team Leadership

Design and implement a healthy internal control framework, covering all financial workflows to mitigate fraud, operational, and compliance risks.

Lead, develop, and manage the JV finance team, drive talent development and Oman workforce requirements in line with local labor laws, and foster a high-performance, compliant team culture.

Desired Candidate Profile

Bachelor s degree or higher in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

Minimum 18 years of progressive finance experience in the international upstream oil & gas exploration and production sector.

Include at least 7 years of hands-on finance leadership experience in oil & gas joint ventures (JV), with deep knowledge of Production Sharing Contracts (PSC) and JV agreement terms.

Fluent in English (professional working proficiency in speaking, writing, and negotiation).

Strong cross-cultural communication, multi-partnership negotiation, and problem-solving skills, with a proven ability to perform in high-pressure, remote operating environments.
