Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
The Financial Controller is responsible for overseeing all financial operations of the hotel, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and overall financial health. This role plays a critical part during the pre-opening phase by establishing robust financial systems, budgets, and controls to support a successful launch and ongoing operational excellence.
What you ll do...
Operational Responsibilities
Manage all core accounting functions including general ledger, accounts payable/receivable, payroll, and financial reporting.
Prepare accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports for management and corporate teams.
Monitor cash flow, working capital, and overall financial performance against budgets and forecasts.
Ensure strict compliance with local tax laws, labor regulations, and corporate policies.
Coordinate internal and external audits, and address audit findings with corrective actions.
Implement cost control measures and financial risk management strategies.
Provide insightful financial analysis and reports to support informed business decision-making.
Team Leadership
Lead, mentor, and develop the finance team, promoting a culture of accuracy, accountability, and continuous improvement.
Oversee recruitment, onboarding, training, and performance management within the finance department.
Desired Candidate Profile
What we re looking for
Bachelor s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; professional accounting qualification (e.g., CPA, ACCA) preferred.
Minimum 7 years experience in financial management, preferably within the hospitality industry.
Strong knowledge of Egyptian financial regulations, tax laws, and compliance requirements.
Proficient in accounting software and MS Office suite.
Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
Demonstrated leadership abilities with experience managing and developing teams.
