Roles & Responsibilities
Fitness Instructor
This position is responsible for leading and delivering group fitness classes, providing personalized training sessions, and ensuring a safe, engaging, and effective exercise environment for all participants. Wellness Instructor will guide individuals or groups in achieving their health and wellness goals through a variety of fitness, nutrition, and mental well-being practices.
- Lead and motivate individuals or groups in exercise activities, including cardiovascular exercises, strength training, stretching, yoga, functional training, zumba, etc.
- Establish schedules and methods for providing wellness services; identify resource needs.
- Identify guest needs and recommend appropriate programs related to the area of assignment.
- Prepare periodic reports; maintain files, and records.
- Ensure that all fitness areas and equipment are clean, safe, and properly maintained.
- Keep up-to-date with the latest trends in fitness and wellness.
- Prepare purchase requisitions; order supplies and materials.
- Respond to complaints and requests for information.
Desired Candidate Profile
- High school diploma or equivalent required; a degree in sports science, physical education, or a related field is preferred.
- Certification in group fitness instruction, group classes, or personal training from a recognized organization (e.g., ACE, NASM, ACSM, AFAA).
- Hold a current CPR/AED certification.
- Prior experience in sports coaching, fitness instruction, or a similar role in hospitality or entertainment.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Creativity in planning and leading activities.
