Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

Manage and conduct training and competency checks of Licensed Flight Dispatchers. Maintain up to date training records and licences to ensure company and regulatory requirements are documented.

Manage on-the-job training for new Licensed Flight Dispatchers and the re-qualification of existing Dispatcher staff, as detailed in the Emirates Flight Dispatch Manual.

Review, update and implement flight dispatch procedures to optimise available resources within the Flight Dispatch team. Ensure implementation of industry best practice to provide a competitive advantage, and a continuous effort to enhance safety.

Support Manager Flight Dispatch (MFD) in reviewing Flight Dispatch processes, procedures, and personnel to ensure future industry requirements are anticipated and delivered ahead of time.

Remain current with present and future regulatory requirements to ensure continued company compliance, and provide support with internal and external audits.

Create and maintain a high-performance culture within the team. Lead and develop direct reports and provide support to the wider team to ensure team members perform to the best of their ability and remain highly motivated while adhering to company standards and expectations.

Develop, maintain and manage Flight Dispatch Training programmes ensuring compliance with company Standards and GCAA regulatory requirements.

Ensures Flight Dispatcher Cockpit Familiarization programs, competency checks, annual recurrent training and all other regulatory training requirements are met.

Design, implement, and manage the training and development of ab-initio UAE National Flight Operations Officers to enable them to pass the GCAA dispatch license exam. Liaise with UAE National Development during these training cycles.

Manages employee training records to ensure these are in a steady state of readiness to pass all internal/external quality and regulatory audits.

Conduct the Licenced Flight Dispatcher role when required.

Desired Candidate Profile

Qualifications & Experience:

Experience in Flight Operations.

Knowledge/skills:

-GCAA dispatch license (or equivalent) with minimum 5 years experience of exercising its privileges

-Passed a competency check or course of recurrent training during the last six months.

-Preferably prior experience in creating and delivering training contents.
