1. Supervise Ductwork Installation: Oversee the installation of HVAC duct systems, including rectangular, circular, and spiral ducts, ensuring alignment with project drawings and specifications.

2. Ensure Technical Compliance: Verify that ductwork meets SMACNA DW/144, ASHRAE 90.1, and Dubai Municipality standards for airtightness, insulation, and performance.

3. Conduct Duct Testing: Perform leakage tests (e.g., DW/143) and airflow measurements to ensure system integrity and compliance with project requirements.

4. Verify Material Specifications: Ensure duct materials (e.g., galvanized steel, aluminum, pre-insulated ducts) and insulation comply with project specifications and Dubai Green Building Regulations.

5. Coordinate with MEP Teams: Collaborate with HVAC, electrical, and plumbing teams to integrate duct systems with other MEP components, avoiding clashes and ensuring system compatibility.

6. Ensure Regulatory Adherence: Comply with Dubai Municipality and Civil Defence regulations, particularly for fire damper installation and smoke control systems.

7. Train and Supervise Laborers: Instruct laborers on duct fabrication, sealing, insulation, and hanger installation techniques, ensuring high-quality workmanship.

8. Resolve Technical Issues: Address challenges such as duct misalignment, excessive leakage, or vibration, coordinating with engineers for solutions.

9. Maintain Installation Records: Keep daily logs of duct installation progress, test results, and material usage for project documentation and audits.

10. Enforce Safety Protocols: Implement safety measures, including fall protection, PPE usage, and safe handling of duct materials, per UAE Labour Law and Civil Defence standards.

11. Monitor Snagging Process: Identify and rectify defects during inspections, ensuring duct systems meet consultant and client requirements before handover.

12. Support System Commissioning: Assist in commissioning HVAC systems, including air balancing and verification of duct performance with testing equipment (e.g., anemometers).

13. Manage Material Handling: Ensure proper storage and handling of duct materials and insulation to prevent damage or degradation, per manufacturer guidelines.

14. Liaise with Stakeholders: Coordinate with project managers, consultants, and inspectors (e.g., Dubai Municipality, Civil Defence) to facilitate approvals and project closeouts.
