Roles & Responsibilities
Responsibilities
Conduct in-depth blockchain investigations using OSINT and specialist analytics tools like TRM Labs, Chainalysis, and Etherscan.
Trace illicit activity and produce clear, actionable intelligence reports to support legal and compliance teams.
Proactively perform risk assessments on high-value or suspicious transactions, identifying patterns and recommending mitigation strategies.
Develop and support rapid response protocols for high-risk incidents, ensuring clear escalation paths and follow-up actions are in place.
Maintain detailed records of all investigative steps, freeze actions, and flags to support legal and compliance workflows.
Collaborate closely with legal, finance, and support teams to align investigative findings with internal policies and regulatory requirements.
Requirements
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Criminal Justice, Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or a related field
2-4+ years of hands-on experience in blockchain investigations, financial crime analysis, or crypto compliance
Proven expertise in using blockchain forensic tools and open-source platforms (e.g., TRM Labs, Chainalysis, Elliptic, Arkham) to trace illicit funds and map wallet activity
Demonstrated experience in analysing blockchain transaction patterns and recognising suspicious behavior across digital asset ecosystems, including cross-chain and DeFi activity
Prior experience working with law enforcement agencies or responding to legal requests is highly desirable
Skills
Strong background in open-source intelligence (OSINT) methodologies to identify wallet owners, trace the flow of digital assets, and produce comprehensive reports
Ability to recognize and interpret technical identifiers that support remote threat investigations, including usernames, hashed passwords, email addresses, IP addresses, crypto artifacts, mail headers, and server/domain intelligence
Exceptional analytical and critical thinking skills, with the ability to connect multiple data points across different platforms and tools
Clear and confident communicator, able to explain complex blockchain concepts through verbal, written, and visual storytelling for both technical and non-technical audiences
