Forklift Operator (10 tons and above) DBMSC Steel FZCO

Overview:

To support the steel loading and movement operations on the ramp and in the yard in terms of build-up, break-down, in particular the movement of steel around the yard. Responsible for Handling materials.

Responsibilities:

-Ability to understand the Inventory Management system.

-Determines where to stock products based on operational guidelines and policies.

-Retrieves product from proper stocking destination

-Maintains any necessary paper documentation

-Ability to know stocking locations throughout the yard

-Load and unload steel in an efficient and safe manner

-Ensure inbound and outbound shipments are accurate and free of damage.

-Operate any materials handling equipment safely and efficiently as required. Use radio

frequency equipment or picking, receiving, and storing functions, as required

-Safety, Sanitation, Security, Maintain a clean, neat and orderly work area. Assist in

maintaining the security of the yard

-Ability to work alone and with others

-Unloading pallets/material from trucks and containers, retrieving material via forklift

and/or hand stacking products, and preparing orders for delivery by sealing and packing

products.

-Capable of performing work in a safe and acceptable manner and demonstrate adequate

theoretical knowledge for the occupation.

-To check the equipment and complete equipment checklist at the beginning and end of

duty,

-Follow quality and H&S standards at all times

-Any other duties as required.
