Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced, mo vated, and results-driven Business Developer to join our dynamic Freight
Forwarding team in Mumbai. The ideal candidate will be responsible for iden fying new business opportuni es,
building and maintaining client rela onships, and driving revenue growth through customized logis cs solu ons
across air, sea, and land freight services.
Key Responsibili es:
Business Development & Sales:




Iden fy and acquire new clients in freight forwarding (air, sea & land logis cs).
Develop sales strategies to meet and exceed revenue and protability targets.
Conduct thorough market research to stay ahead of trends and compe tor ac vi es.
Prepare and deliver persuasive sales presenta ons tailored to client needs.
Client Rela onship & Account Management:



Maintain strong, long-term rela onships with exis ng customers to enhance client reten on.
Perform key account management and ensure client sa sfac on through regular engagement.
Support customer service and collaborate with opera ons to ensure smooth execu on of contracts.
Sales & Revenue Management:
Nego ate compe ve rates and contract terms that benet both the client and the company.
Follow up on leads, quota ons, and ongoing opportuni es to close deals eciently.


Monitor and report on sales performance, using CRM tools to manage pipelines and interac ons.

Opera onal & Financial Oversight:


Coordinate with internal teams to ensure mely and quality service delivery.
Support nance with payment follow-ups and manage outstanding payments, assisted by the debt
recovery team.

Stay compliant with all logis cs industry regula ons and documenta on requirements.
Desired Skills & Qualica ons:


Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, or related eld.
3+ years of experience in freight forwarding sales or business development.
Strong knowledge of logis cs opera ons and interna onal shipping.
Proven track record in mee ng and exceeding sales targets.
Excellent communica on, nego a on, and interpersonal skills.
Prociency in MS Oce and CRM systems.
Self-driven, result-oriented, and customer-focused mindset.
