Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

Department Coordination

  • Supervise daily operations across all fresh departments (F&V, Butcher, Fish, Hot Food, Bakery)

  • Ensure smooth coordination between section supervisors and staff

  • Monitor workflow, staffing, and productivity

    Product Quality & Freshness

  • Ensure all products meet freshness, quality, and presentation standards

  • Conduct regular checks on expiry dates, temperature, and storage conditions

  • Maintain high standards in food safety and hygiene

    Inventory & Stock Control

  • Monitor stock levels and coordinate timely replenishment

  • Minimize wastage, shrinkage, and spoilage

  • Coordinate with purchasing and warehouse teams for stock availability

    Sales & Merchandising

  • Ensure attractive product displays and proper merchandising

  • Support promotional activities and pricing updates

  • Track sales performance and suggest improvements

    Hygiene & Compliance

  • Ensure compliance with UAE food safety regulations and company standards

  • Maintain cleanliness in all fresh departments

  • Enforce HACCP and health & safety procedures

    Team Support & Supervision

  • Support section supervisors and staff in daily tasks

  • Assist in staff scheduling, training, and performance monitoring

  • Promote teamwork and a customer-focused culture

    Customer Service

  • Ensure high-quality service and customer satisfaction

  • Handle customer inquiries and complaints professionally

  • Maintain product knowledge across all fresh categories

Desired Candidate Profile

  • Diploma or Bachelor's degree (preferred)

  • 3–6 years of experience in fresh food retail / supermarket / hypermarket

  • Experience in multi-department coordination is a strong advantage

  • Basic knowledge of inventory systems and retail operations

  • Has a minimum of 3-5 years of experience in fresh food management within a retail or grocery environment, showcasing expertise.

  • Demonstrates experience in a related industry such as supermarkets, specialty food stores, or catering services, highlighting industry knowledge.
