Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Developing mobile applications using Kotlin language for native Android app development.
  • Participating in UI/UX enhancements and translating Figma designs into pixel-perfect, responsive application screens.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to facilitate the creation of large, complex development projects as required.
  • Refactoring existing codebases to ensure adherence to coding standards, best practices, and stipulated guidelines.
  • Performing thorough code reviews and debugging to detect and remedy errors, bugs, and omissions.
  • Writing and executing unit tests and integration tests to ensure outputs are in excellent working order.
  • Ensuring that application interfaces are visually appealing, user-friendly, and deliver an engaging user experience.
  • Deploying applications to the Google Play Store and monitoring adoption, performance, and user engagement metrics.
  • Incorporating client and user feedback to inform the creation of subsequent versions and feature enhancements.
  • Maintaining clear and comprehensive documentation of code, APIs, and development processes.
  • Building and maintaining reports automation and development tools to support business operations.
  • Staying current with the latest Android development trends, tools, libraries, and Kotlin language updates.

Desired Candidate Profile

Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.

  • 2 3 years of professional experience in Android application development using Kotlin.
  • Strong understanding of Android SDK, Android Studio, and the Android application lifecycle.
  • Experience with RESTful APIs, JSON parsing, and third-party library integration (e.g., Retrofit, OkHttp).
  • Proficiency with Android Jetpack components (LiveData, ViewModel, Room, Navigation, etc.).
  • Familiarity with MVVM, MVP, or Clean Architecture design patterns.
  • Experience with version control systems, particularly Git.
  • Solid understanding of UI/UX principles and experience working with Figma design specifications.
  • Experience with Jetpack Compose for modern declarative UI development.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and automated deployment workflows.
  • Knowledge of Firebase services (Analytics, Crashlytics, Cloud Messaging, Remote Config).
  • Experience with dependency injection frameworks such as Hilt or Dagger.
  • Exposure to Kotlin Coroutines and Flow for asynchronous programming.
  • Experience with reports automation and data-driven development tools.
  • Understanding of Agile/Scrum development methodologies.
