Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
Role Overview:
The FSQA Manager is responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining food safety and quality systems to ensure compliance with regulatory standards and company policies. This role ensures that products are safe, consistent, and meet customer expectations.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and maintain Food Safety Management Systems (FSMS) such as HACCP, ISO 22000, or FSSC 22000
Ensure compliance with local and international food safety regulations (e.g., FSSAI, FDA if applicable)
Lead internal and external audits and manage corrective actions
Monitor quality control processes across production
Handle customer complaints and implement corrective/preventive actions (CAPA)
Train staff on food safety, hygiene, and quality standards
Manage documentation, SOPs, and records related to quality systems
Work closely with production, procurement, and R&D teams
Conduct risk assessments and ensure hazard control
Oversee supplier quality assurance and approvals
Desired Candidate Profile
Key Skills & Qualifications:
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Food Technology, Microbiology, or related field
5–10 years of experience in food safety/quality roles
Strong knowledge of HACCP, GMP, GHP, ISO standards
Certification in food safety systems (HACCP/Lead Auditor preferred)
Good leadership and communication skills
Problem-solving and analytical mindset
