Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Orchestrate daily operational workflows by meticulously managing schedules, coordinating resources, and ensuring seamless execution of tasks to maintain efficiency.
  • Craft high-quality furniture pieces tailored to specific client requirements, ensuring both functionality and aesthetic appeal.
  • Utilize advanced woodworking techniques including joinery, laminating, and veneering to create durable furniture structures.
  • Interpret blueprints and design specifications accurately to translate client visions into tangible products.
  • Select and source appropriate materials, considering factors such as durability, cost, and environmental impact.
  • Operate and maintain a variety of woodworking machinery, ensuring safety protocols are strictly followed.
  • Conduct quality inspections throughout the production process to uphold high standards and client satisfaction.
  • Collaborate with interior designers and clients to refine designs and incorporate feedback into final products.
  • Finish furniture pieces using stains, paints, and sealants, paying attention to detail for a polished look.
  • Manage inventory and supplies efficiently to minimize waste and streamline production timelines.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, techniques, and tools to continuously improve craftsmanship and business practices.
  • Proactively identify and resolve operational bottlenecks, implementing streamlined solutions to optimize processes and enhance overall performance.
  • Prepare comprehensive reports and presentations, analyzing key performance indicators (KPIs) to provide data-driven insights and support strategic decision-making.

Desired Candidate Profile

  • Possesses a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience in furniture carpentry, demonstrating a strong portfolio of completed projects.
  • Proficiency in using woodworking tools and machinery, including saws, drills, and sanders, with a focus on safety.
  • Strong understanding of different types of wood and materials, and their appropriate applications in furniture making.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications with precision.
  • Excellent attention to detail, ensuring high standards of craftsmanship in every piece produced.
  • Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with clients and team members throughout projects.
  • Ability to work independently and manage time efficiently to meet tight deadlines.
  • Physical stamina and dexterity to handle manual labor and operate heavy machinery safely.
  • Demonstrates 2+ years of experience in operations or a similar role, showcasing a proven track record of success.
  • Holds certifications in project management or process improvement (e.g., PMP, Six Sigma) is a plus.
