Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
The General Manager is accountable for building, running, and scaling the business end-to-end.
This role owns revenue growth, technical credibility, execution discipline, and operational stability.
The GM must be capable of making business decisions grounded in real IT infrastructure and security understanding.
This is a P&L-impacting role, not a coordination role.
CORE ACCOUNTABILITIES
1. Business Growth & Revenue Ownership
• Own annual and quarterly business targets
• Build and execute a clear go-to-market plan
• Drive predictable, mid-size and repeatable deal flow
• Improve POC-to-order conversion through structured engagement
• Personally engage in key customer conversations where technical depth is required
2. Technical Leadership (Non-Negotiable)
• Strong understanding of IT Infrastructure (Servers, Storage, Virtualization, Networking)
• Strong understanding of Backup, Disaster Recovery, and Business Continuity
• Cloud Infrastructure (IaaS, Hybrid, DRaaS)
• Security domains including endpoint, network, data security, and ransomware risk
• Validate solution designs and reduce dependency on individuals
• Bridge the gap between sales commitments and technical delivery
3. Team Leadership & Performance Management
• Lead Sales, Pre-Sales, Technical, and Operations teams
• Define clear roles, KPIs, and success metrics
• Enforce time-bound execution and ownership
• Address underperformance decisively
4. Execution Discipline & Systems
• Enforce weekly and monthly execution rhythm
• Ensure 100% Zoho discipline across CRM, tasks, and reporting
• Drive structured reviews for pipeline, delivery, and escalations
• Eliminate open-ended initiatives and comfort zones
5. Customer, Partner & Vendor Accountability
• Build confidence with key customers
• Own major commercial and technical escalations
• Ensure vendor SLA adherence and cost control
6. Financial Control & P&L Responsibility
• Own revenue, margins, and cost discipline
• Ensure forecast accuracy and pipeline visibility
• Support collections and cash-flow predictability
WHAT SUCCESS LOOKS LIKE
• Predictable revenue growth
• Improved POC-to-order conversion
• Reduced escalations and firefighting
• Teams executing without constant CEO intervention
• Clean data and disciplined execution
Desired Candidate Profile
PROFILE REQUIRED
• 12–18 years of experience in B2B IT, Infrastructure, and Security
• Proven experience building or scaling a business unit
• Strong technical foundation in IT infrastructure and security
• Commercially sharp and execution-driven
MINDSET EXPECTED
Owner mindset, not caretaker behavior.
Low tolerance for ambiguity, excuses, or delays.
Balances growth with technical and operational realism.
REPORTING
Reports directly to the CEO / Managing Director. Acts as the primary execution leader of the business.
