Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

1. Business & Operational Leadership

  • Oversee daily operations across all departments including Branch Operations, Treasury, Compliance, IT, Finance, HR, and Customer Service.
  • Ensure smooth functioning of remittance, foreign exchange, and related financial services.
  • Drive operational efficiency, service quality, and customer satisfaction across all branches.
  • Develop and implement business strategies to achieve revenue, profitability, and growth targets.

2. Regulatory & Compliance Management

  • Ensure full compliance with Central Bank of Oman (CBO) regulations, AML/CFT guidelines, and other statutory requirements.
  • Oversee KYC, transaction monitoring, and risk management frameworks.
  • Liaise with regulators, auditors, and external agencies as required.
  • Ensure timely reporting and adherence to internal and external audit requirements.

3. Financial & Treasury Oversight

  • Monitor financial performance, budgeting, forecasting, and cost control.
  • Supervise treasury operations, fund management, and liquidity planning.
  • Ensure proper controls over cash management and foreign exchange exposure.

4. Sales & Business Development

  • Identify new business opportunities, corridors, and partnerships to expand remittance volumes.
  • Strengthen relationships with correspondent banks, exchange houses, and business partners.
  • Lead marketing and customer acquisition initiatives.

5. Team Leadership & HR Oversight

  • Lead, mentor, and manage departmental heads and branch managers.
  • Build a high-performance culture focused on accountability and service excellence.
  • Oversee manpower planning, performance management, and employee engagement in coordination with HR.

6. Risk & Internal Control

  • Establish strong internal controls to minimize operational, financial, and fraud risks.
  • Ensure business continuity planning and data security measures are in place.

7. Reporting & Stakeholder Management

  • Provide periodic performance reports to senior management/board.

Represent the organization in meetings with banks, regulators, and key stakeholders.



Desired Candidate Profile

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelors degree in Commerce, Finance, Business Administration, or related field br 10 15+ years of experience in the banking/remittance/exchange/financial services industry.
  • Minimum 5+ years in a senior leadership role managing multi-branch operations.
  • Strong knowledge of AML, KYC, and regulatory frameworks in GCC (Oman experience preferred).
  • Proven track record in operations management, compliance, and business growth.
