Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
- Lead, inspire and motivate the store team to meet key store KPIs such as sales targets, profitability, customer service, waste management and health & safety
- Work closely with the Regional office to set, review and monitor KPIs for each division within the store (i.e, department store, supermarket & fresh food) and communicate targets to the store team
- Hold daily meetings with the store team to review store performance identify / resolve any issues that may prevent the store from achieving its targets
- Ensure there is optimal level of staffing & inventory in the store at all times
- Monitor store expenditure to ensure that the operating cost is in line with agreed operational budgets
- Oversees key projects, processes and performance reports, data and analysis
- Monitor, review and track all store activities to ensure they are in line the companys operating policies and procedures and quality standards
- Monitor and review all in store procedures and make recommendations to improve efficiency ensuring all recommendations have been reviewed and signed off by the Regional Director before implementation
- Monitor sales & customer feedback and make recommendations to the regional team to determine the best merchandise for the store in order to increase profitability
- Ensure standard operating procedures to prevent / minimize any losses through damage and waste are adhered always
- A clear understanding of how clear and effective CSR could enhance the organizations brand and boost stakeholder morale
- Ensure the store is in line with the visual merchandising & branding strategy of the company
- Handle escalated customer complaints and ensure there is a focus on service recovery to enhance customer satisfaction
- Lead, coach and manage the performance of staff in line with good people management practices.
