Roles & Responsibilities

About the RoleWe re looking for a GIS Data Analyst to support a leading Smart City program in Riyadh. This is an on-site, 3-month contract role (possibility of extention) focused on ensuring the accuracy, quality, and usability of spatial data across digital city platforms. You ll play a key role in managing geospatial datasets, enforcing data quality standards, and enabling data-driven insights that shape the city s planning, mobility, and infrastructure decisions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and maintain spatial datasets in ArcGIS Enterprise and ArcGIS Online.
  • Conduct data cleansing, profiling, and validation using ArcGIS Pro and related Esri tools.
  • Define and implement spatial data quality rules and topology checks.
  • Support analytical teams with maps, dashboards, and spatial visualizations.
  • Automate validation and transformation workflows using Python, ArcPy, and ModelBuilder.

Desired Candidate Profile

Qualifications & Skills

  • Bachelor s or Master s in GIS, Geography, Geomatics, Urban Planning, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in GIS data analysis.
  • Proficiency in Esri technologies (ArcGIS Pro, Online, Enterprise).
  • Strong skills in Python, ArcPy, SQL, and geodatabase management.
  • Knowledge of coordinate systems, topology, and spatial data standards.
  • Excellent communication and documentation skills.

Preferred Experience

  • Esri Certification (e.g., ArcGIS Desktop / Enterprise Geodata Management).
  • Familiarity with digital twins, OGC standards, and smart city data platforms.
  • Exposure to urban datasets (utilities, zoning, environment, mobility, etc.).
