Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate site geotechnical works including drilling, soil/rock sampling, field testing (SPT, CPT, etc.), and laboratory sample handling.

• Monitor contractor and subcontractor performance to ensure adherence to design specifications, project timelines, and safety standards.

• Inspect and verify geotechnical equipment setup, calibration, and operation.

• Record, review, and report daily progress, site activities, and encountered ground conditions.

• Ensure compliance with HSE (Health, Safety, and Environment) requirements at all times.

• Liaise with project engineers, consultants, and contractors to resolve on-site technical issues.

• Verify quality and accuracy of collected samples and testing results before submission to the laboratory.

• Maintain site documentation including daily logs, inspection reports, and test records.

Desired Candidate Profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil/Geotechnical Engineering (or equivalent).

• Minimum 6 years of relevant experience in geotechnical site supervision.

• Strong knowledge of soil investigation techniques, geotechnical drilling, sampling, and in-situ testing.

• Familiarity with relevant geotechnical standards (ASTM, BS, EN, etc.).

• Proven leadership and team supervision skills.

• Strong reporting and communication skills (English required).

• Proficient in MS Office and basic project reporting tools.


Working Conditions

• Site-based position with extended working hours (6 days per week, 10 hours per day).

• Fieldwork in varying weather and ground conditions.

• Accommodation and transportation may be provided by the company. (Locals doesn’t have accommodation as they leave in town)
