Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

Job Purpose

A professional who will work in greenhouses at owner properties and capable of planting, growing, and maintaining organic plants( fruits and Vegetables) for owner consumption, while also assisting in other maintenance duties. Training will be provided.

Main Duties

  • Grow selected plant as per owner requirements.
  • Monitor plants growth.
  • Operate and monitor fertigation/irrigation and sprayer system.
  • Report any anomalies in plants to supervisor.
  • Monitor and report any pest problems.
  • Harvesting and packing of fruits and vegetables.

Conduct regular greenhouse maintenance as directed and trained, such as:

  • Lubricate vent components
  • Fix loose-closing vents
  • Check vent position switches
  • Clean air filters and fans
  • Check hinges and catches
  • Inspect fan components
  • Ensure clean horizontal air flow (HAF) fans
  • Ensure clean evaporative cooling pads
  • Control temperature
  • Frame and glazing, tightening bolts, sealing joints, and repairing panels to ensure structural strength

Desired Candidate Profile

Education Background

12 Grade

Desired but not mandatory: Diploma/Certificate in Agriculture, Pest Control, Earth Science, Horticulture, Botany, or similar scientific field.

Experience

At least 2 years of experience in any field.

Farming, Agriculture or Greenhouse experience in an advantage.

Training will be offered.

Abilities

Willingness to work outdoor and in high temperature environment.

Confident in using gardening equipment.

Physically strong for heavy duty work and lifting up to 20 kilos.

Ability to learn and follow instructions.

Ability to explain to owners’ information about the grown plants.
