Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
· Perform HDPE butt fusion welding operations for pipe sizes ranging from 160 mm to 1200 mm using approved welding machines.
· Operate and maintain butt fusion and hand/gun welding machines safely and efficiently.
· Carry out HDPE fittings fabrication (elbows, tees, reducers, end caps, and special fittings).
· Perform branch welding and saddle welding as per specifications.
· Ensure all welding joints meet the required quality standards and project specifications.
· Read, understand, and interpret technical drawings and isometric diagrams.
· Prepare and align pipes for welding with proper clamping and alignment tools.
· Maintain tools, equipment, and welding machines in proper working condition.
· Record welding parameters and maintain welding logs as per QA/QC requirements.
· Follow safety protocols, PPE usage, and company HSE procedures at all times.
Desired Candidate Profile
· Strong knowledge of HDPE welding techniques — butt fusion, electrofusion, and extrusion welding.
· Good understanding of HDPE pipe systems, joints, and fittings.
· Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and piping layouts.
· Hands-on experience in fabricating elbows, tees, and other fittings from HDPE pipes.
· Knowledge of welding standards and QA/QC procedures related to HDPE works.
· Ability to work independently and as part of a team under minimal supervision.
