Be responsible for continually improving and maintaining overall bar standards, while supporting the smooth operation of the bar to ensure all guests receive excellent service and care.
Build and maintain an efficient team of employees, drive the team towards business objectives, maintain positive morale, and provide support when needed.
Develop a complete working knowledge of all products served in the bar.
To provide excellent customer service and to ensure all customer requests and queries are responded to promptly.
Have a complete and thorough knowledge of all menu items to describe them and make effective suggestions to customers.
To direct the setting up of the department, ensuring all necessary work is completed prior to the commencement of service.
Manage employees and ensure the department is maintaining its agreed level of operating performance, correct standards, and methods of service.
Maintains the highest quality, consistent beverage standards.
Follow brand beverage recipes and procedures.
To notify staff of all menu changes, specialties, event menus and changes to standards prior to the commencement of service.
Checking identification to ensure customers are of the legal age to purchase alcohol.
To manage any issues, comments or complaints that have arisen during service to management.
To monitor produce and schedule daily orders of perishable items from suppliers in line with business demand.
To create and follow up on daily/weekly cleaning schedules to maintain the cleanliness of the whole department, including storage and back of house areas.
To ensure a thorough and proper handover between the Bar Team according to the shift pattern.
To comply with all legal requirements of storing procedures, shelf life and expiration dates.
Adhere to current legislation regarding hygiene, licensing laws, weights and measures.
To adhere to all the Company s rules and procedures and to carry out any additional duties requested by management that may happen from time to time.
To be the first point of contact for all the junior team members.
To be responsible for managing all staffing issues within the Bar team including clock in/out, Rota, holiday cover, in-house training, professional development, performance management and day-to-day feedback on performance.
Manage employee performance in line with an organization s objectives through setting targets, performance appraisals and providing feedback, learning and development opportunities
To attend meetings and training sessions as required by the senior management team.
Maintain a thorough understanding of the games, equipment, and systems within the gaming center, remaining knowledgeable about rules and operations to ensure smooth service, provide accurate assistance, and uphold the company s service and brand standards.
Perform other duties pertinent to this job as assigned.
