Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

Organizational Role

  1. Conduct periodic performance evaluations for all department employees.

  2. Ensure compliance with approved regulations, systems, procedures, work rules, and job descriptions.

  3. Verify that all department employees comply with systems and work rules.

  4. Ensure employees understand the policies and procedures related to department activities.

  5. Organize and distribute work among department staff to ensure smooth workflow and assistance as needed.

  6. Delegate responsibilities and authorities to ensure plans and programs are implemented and compliance with procedures.

  7. Propose training programs for department staff, both internally and externally.


Functional Role

  1. Oversee meeting the needs and expectations of endowers by proposing development initiatives and projects and presenting ideas to improve the returns of endowment through suggesting endowment products that achieve financial returns for both the endowment and the community.

  2. Support the creation of a portfolio of distinctive products that highlight the authority’s role and enhance its mission, acting as the first incubator for endowment products initiated by the authority, in coordination with partners.

  3. Actively participate in adopting the concept of innovative endowment and creating various types of endowments and products, without limiting them to real estate assets or cash as in traditional endowments.


    Administrative Responsibilities

    1. Propose recommendations on how to contribute to preparing policies and procedures related to department activities.

    2. Provide the necessary technical information and guidance to employees to enable them to perform their work as required.

    3. Participate with the department director in selecting and hiring department staff.

    4. Cooperate with the department director to guide newly hired employees.

    5. Work to achieve approved standards and prepare periodic reports to avoid or address errors or deficiencies.

    6. Distribute daily tasks among department employees according to the approved work plan and monitor execution per policies and procedures.

    7. Submit required reports on the department’s work and performance to the department director and follow instructions.

    8. Evaluate department employees’ performance according to assigned objectives and required efficiency.


Desired Candidate Profile

  • Holds a Master's degree in Finance, Business Administration, or a related field; a CFA or CAIA designation is highly preferred.

  • Possesses 6+ years of progressive experience in business development, fundraising, or investment management, with a specific focus on endowments or institutional investors.

  • Demonstrates a proven track record of successfully raising capital from high-net-worth individuals, foundations, and other institutional investors.

  • Exhibits a deep understanding of investment strategies, asset allocation, and financial markets, with the ability to articulate complex concepts clearly.

  • Possesses exceptional communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills, with the ability to build rapport and influence key stakeholders.
