Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

We have partnered with a Tier-1 Fintech organisation in the UAE to appoint a Head of Data Science. This strategic leadership role will oversee the growth of the data science function and embed AI/ML capabilities across the business.

About the role:

  • Lead and scale a high-performing data science team across multiple fintech domains.
  • Define and deliver the data science strategy in alignment with business goals.
  • Oversee the development of AI/ML models in fraud detection, credit scoring, and customer personalisation.
  • Partner with C-suite stakeholders to ensure AI is embedded into product design and decision-making.
  • Build strong governance, ensuring compliance with data privacy and regulatory standards.


About you:

  • PhD or Masters in Computer Science, AI, or a quantitative discipline.
  • 12+ years of experience, with at least 5 in leadership roles within data/AI.
  • Track record of delivering large-scale AI initiatives in fintech or financial services.
  • Strong leadership and people management skills, with experience scaling data teams.
  • Deep understanding of AI/ML frameworks, cloud platforms, and modern data architectures.
