Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
- Define and lead the strategic roadmap for expanding the marketplace seller base across the Gulf, focusing on high-growth potential in KSA and the UAE.
- Drive the improvement of local product selection by identifying market gaps and onboarding high-quality local and regional brands.
- Partner with central Marketplace teams to provide regional insights that guide the development of tech tools and operational processes.
- Lead Key Account (KA) recruitment efforts in collaboration with category teams to scale our portfolio of strategic partners.
- Design and optimize the end-to-end seller recruitment and onboarding processes specifically tailored for the Middle East market.
- Strategize and execute the recruitment of international sellers, including dedicated initiatives for Chinese seller acquisition to diversify the catalog.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Logistics, Tax, and Marketing) to remove barriers for sellers and ensure a seamless integration into the Gulf marketplace.
- Monitor regional competitive dynamics and seller performance metrics to proactively adjust expansion tactics and maintain market leadership.
- Bachelor s or Master s degree in Business, Economics, or a related field.
- Extensive experience in marketplace management, business development, or category leadership within the e-commerce sector.
- Proven track record of scaling seller ecosystems and managing high-value Key Accounts (KAs).
- Deep understanding of the Gulf e-commerce landscape, including consumer trends and regional seller behaviors.
- Strong technical literacy with the ability to translate business requirements into product/tech feature requests for central teams.
- Exceptional leadership and negotiation skills, with experience managing cross-functional projects in an international environment.
- Data-driven mindset with the ability to utilize analytics to drive strategic expansion decisions.
- Fluency in both English and Arabic is mandatory for this role.
