Job Description

The Head of Supply Chain is a pivotal executive role responsible for overseeing and optimizing all aspects of an organization's supply chain operations. This position involves developing and implementing efficient strategies to ensure that the supply chain processes align with the company s objectives and customer demands. The individual in this role will lead a team of professionals and work collaboratively with external partners to enhance the supply chain s responsiveness and cost-effectiveness. A successful Head of Supply Chain will drive operational excellence, foster innovation, and ensure seamless logistics and inventory management across all locations. They must possess strong leadership acumen, strategic insight, and exceptional problem-solving capabilities to adapt to an ever-evolving market environment. This role is key to driving the organization s success and maintaining its competitive edge in the industry.


Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement comprehensive supply chain strategies to optimize processes.
  • Lead and mentor supply chain team to achieve operational excellence and success.
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders to align supply chain goals with business objectives.
  • Monitor supply chain performance metrics to identify areas for improvement.
  • Negotiate contracts with suppliers and service providers to ensure cost-effectiveness.
  • Ensure compliance with industry regulations and organizational policies.
  • Manage inventory levels to meet customer demand while minimizing excess stock.
  • Implement technologies to enhance supply chain productivity and efficiency.
  • Build and maintain relationships with suppliers and logistics partners.
  • Identify and mitigate risks associated with supply chain disruptions.
  • Prepare and manage department budgets and forecasts to align with financial goals.
  • Drive sustainability initiatives within the supply chain to promote environmental responsibility.

Requirements
  • Bachelor s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Proven experience in a senior supply chain management role for at least 8 years.
  • Strong leadership skills with experience in managing and developing teams.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities to drive supply chain efficiency.
  • Strong understanding of supply chain principles, logistics, and inventory management.
  • Proficient in supply chain management software and related technologies.
  • Exceptional negotiation skills and experience managing supplier relationships.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work with diverse teams.
  • Experience with budgeting, financial planning, and cost management in supply chains.
  • Ability to work under pressure and make strategic decisions in a fast-paced environment.
  • Familiarity with industry regulations and an emphasis on compliance adherence.
  • Proven track record of implementing successful sustainability initiatives.
