Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Diagnose and troubleshoot complex mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues on heavy equipment, using advanced diagnostic tools and techniques to pinpoint the root cause.
  • Perform routine and preventative maintenance, including inspections, oil changes, filter replacements, and lubrication, adhering strictly to manufacturer's specifications and schedules.
  • Conduct major repairs and overhauls of engines, transmissions, brakes, and other critical components, ensuring precision and adherence to safety protocols.
  • Fabricate and weld components as needed, using appropriate welding techniques and materials to restore or repair damaged parts of the equipment.

Desired Candidate Profile

  • Possesses a high school diploma or equivalent, with a strong emphasis on mechanical aptitude and technical skills.
  • Holds a relevant vocational training certificate or associate degree in diesel mechanics, heavy equipment maintenance, or a related field.
  • Certified by the National Institute for Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) in diesel engine repair or other relevant areas is highly advantageous.
  • Demonstrates a minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in the repair and maintenance of heavy equipment, preferably in a construction or mining environment.
