Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Transport goods safely and efficiently over long distances, ensuring timely delivery to designated locations.
  • Conduct pre-trip, en-route, and post-trip inspections of the truck, noting and reporting any maintenance or repair needs.
  • Maintain accurate logbooks of driving hours, vehicle inspections, and delivery schedules, adhering strictly to regulatory requirements.
  • Communicate effectively with dispatchers, clients, and other drivers to coordinate deliveries and resolve any issues.

Desired Candidate Profile

  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional courses in logistics or transportation are a plus.
  • Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) with a clean driving record; endorsements for specific vehicle types are desirable.
  • Minimum of 2-3 years of experience driving heavy trucks in a commercial setting, preferably in long-haul transport.
  • Knowledge of federal and state transportation regulations, including hours of service and vehicle maintenance standards.
