OVERVIEW / BASIC FUNCTION

The Housekeeping Rooms Associate is responsible for maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness, comfort, and presentation in guest rooms and assigned areas, ensuring every space reflects Rosewood s commitment to refined luxury, thoughtful service, and A Sense of Place .

Key Responsibilities


  • Clean, service, and maintain guest rooms, suites, and villas according to Rosewood brand standards and departmental SOPs
  • Perform thorough cleaning of bedrooms, bathrooms, balconies, and living areas, including dusting, vacuuming, mopping, sanitizing, and polishing
  • Make beds to luxury standards, ensuring crisp linen presentation and correct pillow and duvet arrangement
  • Replenish guest amenities, minibar items (where applicable), towels, bathrobes, slippers, and in-room supplies accurately
  • Inspect rooms after servicing to ensure flawless presentation, proper functioning of fixtures, lighting, temperature, and electronics.
  • Prepare rooms meticulously for guest arrivals, ensuring readiness before published check-in times
  • Service stayover rooms with minimal disturbance, respecting guest preferences and privacy
  • Clean and reset departure rooms efficiently while maintaining quality standards
  • Identify and report VIP, repeat guest, and special request rooms to supervisors
  • Follow all hygiene, sanitation, and safety standards, including proper use and storage of cleaning chemicals and equipment
  • Adhere to Rosewood and AMAALA sustainability practices, including water, energy, and waste management initiatives
  • Report maintenance defects, safety hazards, and unusual findings immediately through the approved reporting system
  • Strictly follow lost and found procedures and confidentiality policies

Qualifications & Experience

  • Prior experience as a Room Attendant or Housekeeping Associate in a luxury or upscale hospitality environment preferred
  • Exceptional attention to detail and pride in delivering high-quality work
  • Strong service mindset with a respectful and positive attitude
  • Physically fit and able to meet the demands of the role
  • Ability to follow procedures, standards, and instructions accurately
