Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
As a Housekeeping Attendant, you will play a crucial role in ensuring a clean, comfortable, and welcoming environment for guests staying in our establishment. Your attention to detail, diligence, and commitment to maintaining high standards will contribute significantly to the overall guest experience. As part of the housekeeping team, you will work collaboratively to ensure all rooms and public areas are spotless, sanitized, and well-stocked with essential amenities. This role not only requires efficiency and thoroughness but also good communication skills to interact with guests when needed and a strong sense of confidentiality and discretion.
Responsibilities
- Perform deep cleaning of guest rooms, bathrooms, and common areas daily.
- Change bed linens, replace towels, and replenish amenities as required.
- Ensure all equipment, such as vacuum cleaners, is in operable condition daily.
- Report any maintenance issues, damages, or missing items to the supervisor promptly.
- Adhere to all safety and sanitation policies to maintain a secure environment.
- Assist in laundry duties, including washing, drying, and folding linens as needed.
- Document and store lost and found items in compliance with company policies.
- Coordinate with front desk staff to prioritize room cleaning during peak periods.
- Follow eco-friendly practices by using resources efficiently and minimizing waste.
- Respond to guest inquiries swiftly and professionally, providing top-notch service.
- Participate in team meetings and training sessions for continuous improvement.
- Maintain cleaning equipment and storage areas in an organized manner.
Requirements
- Proven work experience as a Housekeeping Attendant or similar role desired.
- Ability to handle cleaning tasks with attention to detail and efficiency.
- Strong communication skills to interact effectively with guests and team members.
- Familiarity with cleaning chemicals and safety protocols for their use.
- Capability to stand, walk, and lift moderate weight during work hours.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays if needed.
- High school diploma or equivalent qualification would be advantageous.
