The Housekeeping Supervisor is a pivotal role in ensuring that our facilities maintain the highest standards of cleanliness and organization. This position is responsible for guiding and managing a team of housekeeping staff to achieve excellence in service and operational efficiency. As a Housekeeping Supervisor, you will coordinate with other departments to meet the needs of guests and maintain the cleanliness of guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house locations. Responsibilities
  • Supervise daily operations of the housekeeping department and manage staff schedules effectively.
  • Conduct regular inspections to ensure cleanliness and full completion of cleaning tasks.
  • Train housekeeping staff on proper cleaning techniques and safety practices.
  • Coordinate with maintenance to report and fix any facility issues promptly.
  • Monitor and maintain inventory levels of cleaning supplies and equipment.
  • Address and resolve any guest complaints regarding housekeeping services in a timely manner.
  • Implement and enforce sanitary measures aligned with health and safety regulations.
  • Organize, supervise, and ensure thorough room cleaning operations after guest departures.
  • Prepare reports on room status and cleanliness for management review regularly.
  • Ensure proper functioning and maintenance of housekeeping equipment and tools.
  • Foster a positive workplace culture and encourage teamwork among the housekeeping staff.
  • Collaborate with the front desk to track room availability and prioritize cleaning efforts.

Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent is required for this position.
  • A minimum of two years of experience in a housekeeping role is preferred.
  • Proven leadership skills and the ability to motivate a team effectively.
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to handle complaints and resolve conflicts in a professional manner.
  • Proficiency in using computer software for scheduling and reporting purposes.
  • Excellent communication skills for interacting effectively with staff and guests.
