Roles & Responsibilities
As the HR Specialist - Benefits you will provide professional advice and support the HR C&B benefits team in the review of outstations (dnata and EK) employee benefits both pension/provident and medical schemes as well as the Emirates Group Provident Scheme (EGPS). Gather market practice data and research labour law for start-up countries, the management of employee benefit queries across both Dubai and outstations as well as the review of all current schemes from a legislative, market and provider perspective.
In this role, you will:
- Be Responsible for research, study and interpretation of local labour/social security law application and the gathering of general market practice data on benefits for start-up outstations focusing on pension/provident and medical schemes, using the information gathered to recommend benefit practice for new entities.
- Support, review, recommend and update EGPS communications including the delivery of employee provident scheme briefings by building an understanding of the scheme, the benefits and the trust investment structure; current scheme documentation available on both the administration managers system and the internal self-service module.
- Manage HRSS and other parts of the business in training, member query escalation and managing communication collateral including SOPs, FAQs, and other scheme related documentation.
- Support in the adherence to governance and reporting activities of the EGPS including review meetings, quarterly investment monitoring reports, risk register etc.
- Support the HR Manager (Benefits) in medical renewals/pension scheme reviews by facilitating the process for each station including gathering feedback from the station, collecting market data/ comparator information, ensuring timely receipt of provider offers, reviewing investment performance and negotiating the best possible terms for each plan as applicable.
- Maintain the accuracy and update of PAMs, Rem Booklet and employment contract clauses following medical/pension scheme reviews/medical plan renewals and considering any relevant legislative, strategy or policy changes.
- Ensure that records of each review are filed appropriately, and information is accessible.
- Manage short term projects from concept to implementation including appropriate communication within the team and ensuring input from relevant stakeholders in and outside the team. Support HR Manager (Benefits) by participating as a team member in the larger/longer project teams.
Desired Candidate Profile
To be considered for this role, you must meet the below requirements:
- Bachelor s degree or above in a relevant field (HR, Economics/Maths)
- A minimum 5 years experience with in Human Resources Compensation & Benefits
You'll have an edge if you have:
- Ability to critically analyse data
- Ability to multi-task and work on several projects at the same time
- Ability to deal with all levels of staff in a professional manner with credibility on technical expertise
- An appreciation of the concept of customer service for internal as well as external customers
- Advanced proficiency in MS Office packages particularly Excel and PowerPoint
- Ability to be able to search the Internet and obtain material when researching data requirements
