Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
You will be responsible for implementing and monitoring health, safety, and environmental protocols across the data center construction site in Yanbu. The role demands a proactive approach to risk management, compliance with local and international safety standards, and coordination with project teams to ensure a safe working environment.
- Implement and enforce HSE policies, procedures and standards in line with organizational and legal / regulatory requirements
- Assist the HSE Manager in overseeing all HSE aspects of the project, including excavation, structural works, MEP installations, and commissioning activities
- Monitor contractor and sub-contractor daily site activities to ensure adherence to safety protocols and alignment with the HSE requirements and project milestones
- Conduct or participate in daily site safety walks, toolbox talks, and safety briefings with contractors and site teams
- Conduct or participate in audit risk assessments to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance.
- Deliver HSE induction and training session for site personnel and visitors
- Support the development and enforcement of site-specific emergency response plans and evacuation procedures
- Participate in review of project specific HSE plans, method statements and risk assessments
- Conduct / participate in investigation and reporting of incidents, near misses, and unsafe conditions. Recommend & follow up on corrective actions
- Maintain accurate records of inspections, audits, safety observations, and training sessions
- Assist in preparing HSE reports, dashboards and presentations for internal and external stakeholders
- Periodically review the use and condition of PPE and ensure availability of safety equipment on-site
Desired Candidate Profile
Experience & Qualifications:
- Bachelor s degree or diploma in Engineering, Environmental Science, Occupational Health & Safety, or related field.
- NEBOSH IGC or equivalent certification is mandatory.
- 5+ years of experience in construction safety, preferably in large-scale infrastructure or data center projects.
- Prior experience working in KSA and familiarity with Saudi safety regulations is highly desirable.
- Strong knowledge of international HSE standards (OSHA, ISO 45001, ISO 14001).
- Willingness to relocate within KSA based on project requirements.
