Title: HSE Inspector / Junior HSE Officer Location: Abu Dhabi, UAE Industry: Construction (Building Projects – Main Contractor) Department: HSE Reports To: Senior HSE Officer Job Purpose The HSE Inspector / Junior HSE Officer supports the implementation and monitoring of health, safety, and environmental systems on construction sites. The role ensures daily site activities comply with project HSE plans, client requirements (including Aldar standards), and UAE regulatory frameworks such as OSHAD and Abu Dhabi Municipality guidelines. Key Responsibilities

1. Site Monitoring & Inspection

• Conduct daily site safety inspections and identify unsafe acts/conditions.

• Monitor high-risk activities such as lifting operations, work at height, hot works, excavation, and confined space entry.

• Ensure proper use of PPE and compliance with site safety procedures.

2. Compliance & Reporting

• Support implementation of project HSE plans and Aldar HSE requirements where applicable.

• Record observations, prepare daily/weekly HSE reports, and maintain safety documentation.

• Assist in closing out safety observations and non-conformities.

3. Permit-to-Work & Method Statements

• Verify Permit-to-Work (PTW) systems are properly followed.

• Review risk assessments and method statements (RAMS) before site activities begin.

• Monitor compliance with approved RAMS on site.

4. Training & Awareness

• Conduct toolbox talks and safety inductions for workers.

• Promote HSE awareness campaigns and safe working practices.

5. Incident Prevention & Investigation

• Report incidents immediately and support investigations.

• Assist in root cause analysis and implementation of corrective actions.

6. Coordination

• Work closely with site engineers, supervisors, and subcontractors to ensure compliance.

• Coordinate with HSE team during internal and external audits.
