Roles & Responsibilities
Overview
Atkinsrealis is seeking a highly experienced and qualified HSE (Health, Safety, and Environment) Engineer to join our team for a building Clean Power project in Abu Dhabi.
Your role
- Develop, implement, and monitor HSE policies, procedures, and guidelines for the construction project.
- Conduct regular inspections and audits to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance with local regulations and company standards.
- Provide HSE training to site staff and contractors to promote awareness and best practices in safety.
- Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses, and recommend corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
- Collaborate with project management and subcontractors to resolve HSE issues and implement preventive measures.
- Maintain accurate records of HSE performance, including incident reports, inspections, and training documentation.
- Liaise with regulatory authorities and clients to ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
- Participate in HSE meetings, risk assessments, and emergency response drills as required.
- Keep abreast of industry trends, developments, and best practices in HSE management.
Desired Candidate Profile
Minimum of 7 Plus years of experience in HSE management, with at least 4 years in UAE.
Level 6 diploma in Occupational Health and Safety (OH&S) or equivalent.
Good proficiency in DM and ADOSH (Abu Dhabi Occupational Safety and Health System Framework).
ISO 45001 Lead Auditor Certification.
Strong personality with excellent communication and leadership skills.
Experience in building and Infra construction projects is essential.
Fluency in Arabic and English is preferred.
Must be currently residing in the UAE and available for face-to-face client interviews.
