Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

Performance Management & Evaluations

  • Coordinate and implement the college s performance appraisal system for faculty and staff.
  • Collect, review, and analyze performance data to ensure accurate evaluations.
  • Provide guidance and support to managers in setting goals, monitoring progress, and providing constructive feedback.
  • Identify opportunities for employee development based on evaluation outcomes.

HR Operations

  • Oversee day-to-day HR processes, including employee records, contract management, and HR documentation.
  • Ensure HR procedures comply with labor laws, college policies, and best practices.
  • Assist in payroll processing, leave management, and benefits administration.

Training and Development Support

  • Work with department heads to identify training needs based on performance reviews.
  • Coordinate staff development programs and track participation and outcomes.

Policy Implementation and Compliance

  • Support the development, communication, and enforcement of HR policies related to performance and HR operations.
  • Ensure all HR practices are consistent with college regulations and applicable labor laws.
  • Undertake any other HR-related tasks assigned by the Director to support the department and college objectives.

Desired Candidate Profile

Qualifications

  • Diploma or Bachelor s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.

Experience

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in Human Resources.
  • Experience in an educational or academic environment is an advantage.

Knowledge

  • Understanding of labor laws, employment regulations, and HR best practices.
  • Knowledge of higher education operations and faculty administration.
  • Familiarity with HR systems, payroll processes, and HR reporting tools.

Technical & Work-Based Skills

  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and conflict-resolution skills.
  • Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information professionally.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and HRIS systems.
  • Strong organizational, planning, and analytical skills.
