Role Description
The HVAC-Designer role at Heinen & Hopman UAE is a full-time on-site position located in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. As an HVAC-Designer, you will be responsible for performing design calculations, preparing technical drawings, and creating HVAC system plans. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the successful delivery of projects, meet client requirements, and adhere to industry standards and regulations. Your expertise in HVAC system design and knowledge of relevant software tools will contribute to the efficient and effective operation of our HVAC systems.
Key Responsibilities:
HVAC System Design:
· Perform detailed engineering and design of HVAC systems for marine vessels and offshore installations, considering specific requirements and constraints of the marine environment.
· Ensure compliance with industry codes, standards, and regulations.
Technical Documentation:
· Prepare technical specifications, drawings, and documentation for HVAC systems, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
· Review and approve design documents generated by the engineering team.
Equipment Selection and Procurement:
· Select appropriate HVAC equipment based on project requirements and specifications.
· Work closely with procurement teams to source, evaluate, and procure HVAC components and systems.
Health, Safety, and Environmental Compliance:
· Ensure that HVAC systems adhere to health, safety, and environmental regulations applicable to marine and offshore projects.
· Implement and enforce safety protocols during installation and maintenance activities.
Client Communication:
· Maintain regular communication with clients to provide project updates, address concerns, and ensure client satisfaction.
· Collaborate with clients to understand their specific HVAC requirements and preferences.
Qualifications
· Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
· Proven experience in HVAC system design and related engineering aspects.
· Proficiency in using design software such as AutoCAD, Revit, or similar tools.
· Strong knowledge of HVAC codes, standards, and regulations.
· Good understanding of energy efficiency and sustainable design principles.
· Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
· Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
· Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
· Experience in the marine, offshore, or oil & gas industry is a plus.
