Hydraulic & Pneumatic Fittings Technician – Job Role
A Hydraulic & Pneumatic Fittings Technician is responsible for the installation, maintenance, inspection, and repair of hydraulic and pneumatic systems used in heavy vehicles, industrial equipment, and machinery. The role focuses on ensuring safe, efficient operation of systems that use pressurized oil or air to power mechanical functions.
Install, assemble, and replace hydraulic and pneumatic hoses, pipes, fittings, and connectors Inspect systems for leaks, pressure loss, wear, or damage Diagnose faults in hydraulic and pneumatic circuits Repair or replace valves, cylinders, pumps, compressors, and seals Perform pressure testing and system checks after repairs Ensure correct hose routing, clamping, and safety standards Read and interpret hydraulic/pneumatic diagrams and schematics Maintain service records and report system faults
Desired Candidate Profile
Strong understanding of hydraulic and pneumatic principles Knowledge of pressure ratings, fittings, and hose specifications Ability to work safely with high-pressure systems Good mechanical troubleshooting skills Experience with heavy vehicles or industrial machinery
