Job Description
We are seeking a dynamic and qualified ICT High School Teacher for a prestigious school in Al Ain, designed for US National, Western National, or Native English-speaking educators. The role involves leveraging technology to inspire students and prepare them for the digital demands of higher education and the global workforce.
Responsibilities
Develop and deliver comprehensive, engaging, and standards-aligned ICT curricula for high school students (Grades 9–12).
Integrate emerging technologies, coding platforms, and digital tools into daily instruction to enhance student learning and critical thinking.
Foster a collaborative, inclusive, and disciplined classroom environment through effective classroom management strategies.
Design project-based learning (PBL) activities that promote problem-solving, creativity, and real-world application of ICT concepts.
Assess student progress through formative and summative evaluations, providing timely and constructive feedback.
Collaborate with colleagues to align ICT instruction with broader school-wide academic goals and interdisciplinary initiatives.
Support students in developing digital citizenship, cybersecurity awareness, and ethical technology use.
Stay current with advancements in ICT, educational technology trends, and pedagogical best practices through ongoing professional development.
Participate in curriculum development, departmental meetings, and school-wide events as required.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Education (B.Ed) or equivalent, with a specialization in ICT or Computer Science.
Postgraduate Certificate in Education (PGCE) or equivalent teaching qualification recognized in the US or Western education systems.
Minimum 4–5 years of proven teaching experience in ICT at the high school level, preferably in an international or Western curriculum setting.
Native or near-native proficiency in English, with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Demonstrated expertise in core ICT topics including programming (e.g., Python, JavaScript), web development, data management, digital media, and computer networks.
Strong classroom management skills and experience in diverse, multicultural learning environments.
Proven ability to foster critical thinking, collaboration, and independent learning in students.
Familiarity with international curricula such as the US Common Core, IB, or Cambridge International Examinations is highly desirable.
Willingness to work within a structured academic calendar and participate in school-wide professional and extracurricular activities.
Valid teaching certification or eligibility for certification in the relevant jurisdiction (US or Western country).
