We are urgently seeking a highly skilled ICU Consultant to join a reputable healthcare facility in Abu Dhabi, UAE.

ICU Consultant is responsible for providing expert medical care to critically ill patients in the Intensive Care Unit. The role involves leading the multidisciplinary ICU team in managing patients with life-threatening conditions, ensuring evidence-based, patient-centered care, and maintaining the highest standards of safety and clinical excellence. The consultant also plays a key role in mentoring junior staff, coordinating care with other specialties, and contributing to quality improvement initiatives within the hospital.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide full-time coverage and clinical leadership within the Intensive Care Unit.

Manage critically ill patients requiring advanced life support, including mechanical ventilation, hemodynamic monitoring, and organ support therapies.

Conduct daily patient rounds, assess treatment progress, and make necessary adjustments in care plans.

Oversee and participate in emergency resuscitation and stabilization of critically ill patients.

Collaborate with surgical, medical, anesthesia, and nursing teams for multidisciplinary patient management.

Supervise and train ICU residents, fellows, nurses, and allied health professionals.

Ensure accurate, complete, and timely documentation in patient medical records.

Develop and implement evidence-based protocols, guidelines, and infection control practices.

Participate in morbidity and mortality reviews, clinical audits, and quality improvement programs.

Maintain compliance with hospital policies, ethical standards, and national health authority regulations.

Qualifications and Requirements:

Education: Doctor of Medicine (MD) or equivalent degree from a recognized medical school.

Specialization: Fellowship or Board Certification in Critical Care Medicine / Intensive Care / Anesthesiology / Internal Medicine with Critical Care subspecialty.

Licensure: Valid license or eligibility to practice as an ICU Consultant in [country/region].

Experience: Minimum of [5 8 years] post-specialization experience in ICU or critical care settings.
