Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
- Execute daily inbound receiving operations for local and international shipments (air and sea freight).
- Receive, inspect, count, and verify incoming goods against purchase orders and delivery documents.
- Perform quality checks on products, packaging, batch numbers, expiry dates, and regulatory labels.
- Ensure accurate documentation by verifying delivery notes, invoices, packing lists, and certificates.
- Record all receiving transactions accurately in the Warehouse Management System (WMS) using RF scanners and barcode systems.
- Operate material handling equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks in line with safety procedures.
- Unload containers and delivery vehicles while adhering to warehouse safety and operational standards.
- Segregate non-conforming or damaged products and report issues to the Inbound Executive.
- Monitor and record temperature readings for cold chain products to ensure food safety compliance.
- Assist with Dubai Municipality sampling, labeling, and documentation requirements.
- Support Food Watch platform uploads and maintain complete traceability records for received batches.
- Coordinate with Inventory and Warehouse teams for timely put-away, cross-docking, and space management.
- Support stock verification, cycle counts, and inventory accuracy initiatives.
- Liaise with suppliers, transport providers, and 3PL partners for smooth inbound operations.
- Maintain organized physical and digital records of all inbound documentation.
- Comply with HACCP standards, food safety protocols, and UAE regulatory requirements at all times.
Desired Candidate Profile
Education & Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (mandatory).
- Forklift operation certification and food safety/HACCP training preferred or willingness to obtain.
Experience
- 1-2 years of experience in warehouse receiving or inbound logistics operations.
- Experience in food distribution, FMCG, or temperature-controlled products preferred.
- Hands-on exposure to WMS systems and barcode/RF scanning tools is an advantage.
- Prior experience handling import/export documentation is beneficial.
Technical & Functional Skills
- Working knowledge of Warehouse Management Systems (WMS).
- Understanding of inbound logistics processes and warehouse operations.
- Basic knowledge of UAE food safety regulations and Dubai Municipality requirements.
- Familiarity with quality inspection procedures and cold chain handling.
- Ability to operate material handling equipment safely.
Language Requirements
- English: Intermediate proficiency (mandatory).
- Hindi, or Urdu added advantage
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift and move items up to 25 kg.
- Comfortable working in cold storage and temperature-controlled environments.
- Physically fit to stand, walk, bend, and perform repetitive tasks during shifts.
