Job Purpose

Experienced Infrastructure/Systems Engineer with expertise in VMware technologies, Microsoft environments, and a strong background in systems management, security, and networking. The successful candidate will design, implement, and maintain a robust IT infrastructure, ensuring the seamless operation of systems and services critical to organizational success.

Job Accountabilities

1. VMware Infrastructure Management:
- Design, implement, and manage VMware solutions, including vSphere, ESXi, and Center.
- Monitor and optimize virtualized environments for performance, scalability, and efficiency.
- Implement and manage VMware HA/DRS, backups, and disaster recovery strategies.
2. Microsoft Technologies Administration:
-Manage Microsoft environments, including Windows Server, Active Directory, Group Policy,
and Office 365.
- Administer Microsoft SCCM (System Center Configuration Manager) for software
distribution, patch management, and system updates.
- Ensure integration between on-premises and cloud-based Microsoft services, including
Azure and Exchange.
3. Network and Security Expertise:
- Configure and manage networking components such as DNS, DHCP, VLANs, and VPNs.
- Collaborate with the network team to maintain a secure and resilient IT infrastructure.
- mplement and manage security solutions, including firewalls, endpoint protection, and
intrusion detection/prevention systems.
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and apply security patches to minimize risks.
4. Systems Management and Automation:
- Implement and maintain system monitoring, logging, and alerting tools to ensure high
availability.
- Automate routine tasks using scripting languages like PowerShell, Python, or Bash.
- Optimize system configurations and performance to meet organizational needs.
5. Documentation and Support:
-Maintain detailed documentation for system configurations, network diagrams, and IT
processes.
- Provide Level 2/3 technical support for infrastructure issues and mentor junior staff.
- Create and deliver reports on system performance, incidents, and compliance.
